Acceptance Criteria

The Pyrolysis Plants currently being constructed at the Redbank Plains Road, Redbank Plains Qld (and Bowen in Q2 of CY 2022) will accept:

Waste Stream

Mechanical Recycling

Thermo-mechanical Recycling

Thermo-Chemical Recycling

Plastics

Tyres

Recycling Processes

The mechanical recycling process is when the waste resource is processed mechanically to form usable resources;

The thermo-mechanical Recycling process is when the waste stream undergoes both mechanical and thermal treatment to obtain higher value resources.

The thermo-chemical Recycling process is when the waste stream is thermo-chemically broken down and reformed to obtain higher value resources.

The synthesised resources produced from the thermo-chemical process can be further processed to produce;

Urea

Road surfacing

Electronic components

Long-life batteries

Virgin Plastic

Carbon fibre

Water purification systems

Synthetic Diesel

All plastics and tyre recycling systems will conform to Australian Standards and the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and Recycling and Waste Reduction Act 2020.
